| DAY 01 Miami– Guayaquil
(Ecuador) |
| Morning flight brings
you to Guayaquil, the biggest port of
Ecuador. |
| DAY 02 Guayaquil –
Galapagos |
Morning flight to the
Galapagos Archipelago, situated 800
kilometers west of the Ecuadorian coast
and encompasses over 50 islands of
volcanic origin that are spread out over
an area of about 4,500 square
kilometers. Charles Darwin explored the
Galapagos. His careful biological
observations of the remarkable and
unique biota of the islands later led
him to propose the theory of natural
selection. After arriving at Baltra
Airport, check in for the cruise line
and set your sights for the sea.
PM: Las Bachas (Santa Cruz Island)
Glorious white beach with several
brackish lagoons- the feeding grounds of
various wading birds, from stilts to
flamingos. Welcome cocktail, expedition
plan and dinner. *All rights of the
aboard portion are reserved by Cruise

| DAY 03 Buccaneer Cove ,
Puerto Egas (Santiago Island) |
| Explore the coastline
along the impressive cliffs of Buccaneer
Cove. The cove is home to a large number
of marine birds, sea lions, and
inter-tidal organisms. Enjoy fantastic
natural formations such as the “Elephant
Rock”, “The Bishop” and an impressive
natural cave. This is a great site for
snorkeling or panga ride. Disembark at
the Puerto Egas beach, enjoy a swim or
snorkel, usually in the company of
marine turtles. From here, we head off
to our walk, a great opportunity to see
land and marine birds amid landscape of
tuff-stone layers and lava flows. At
low tide, marine iguanas graze upon the
algae beds. |
| DAY04 Rábida Island,
Bartolomé Island |
Land on Rábida Island’s
red-coloured beach, Our walk brings us
close to a large colony of sea lions,
marine iguanas, mockingbirds, yellow
warblers and several species of Darwin’s
finches. A salt pond hosts migrating
greater flamingos at certain times of
year. Non-snorkelers will enjoy a ride
on the glass bottom boat or a panga
ride.
Afternoon land at Bartolomé for a hike
to the summit of this island that boasts
fantastic views of the archipelago.
Following our walk, we take to the
pangas and the glass bottom boat for a
ride around the colossal Pinnacle Rock,
and then enjoy some swimming,
snorkelling or just relaxing (possibly
with Galápagos penguins in sight) |
| DAY05 Prince Philip
Steps, Darwin Bay (Genovesa Island) |
| A panga ride along the
cliffs of this dramatic island, landing
with a steep climb (90 feet) up some
stairs to reach a flat plateau. Along
our walk, we can observe large colonies
of Nazca boobies, red footed boobies,
frigate birds and storm petrels. After
the walk, we can snorkel along the
dramatic cliffs where there are chances
of spotting lots of fish, including
hammerhead sharks. In the afternoon, we
take an easy stroll to observe hundreds
of birds, mainly frigate birds, red
footed and Nazca boobies, gulls, herons,
finches and mockingbirds. There’s an
optional walk over sharp lava and uneven
terrain for dramatic views, or else we
can return to the beach or enjoy a panga
ride. |
| DAY06 Puerto Baquerizo
Moreno & Tortoise Breeding Centre (San
Cristóbal Island) – Guayaquil |
| After breakfast,
there’s optional departure to see the
breeding programme of giant tortoises at
Cerro Colorado. Here, we learn about
this endangered species and its
promising recovery. Following the visit,
we return to town and transfer to the
airport to take the flight back to the
mainland. |

| DAY07 Guayaquil – Lima |
| A panoramic city tour to the Colonial
and Modern Lima, the Government Palace,
Arm's Square, and visit to the
Cathedral. We shall continue to a
panoramic view of the beaches of Lima
city. |
| DAY 08 Lima–Cusco–Uru Bamba |
| Morning flight to Cusco. Then, we shall
visit to the "salineras" (salt pits) in
Maras, where the changing reflections of
sunlight on the salt ponds create a
magical show of color. Overnight in Uru
Bamba. |
| DAY 09 Uru Bamba–Ollantaytambo–Machu
Picchu |
| Excursion to the Sacred Valley to visit
the ruins of Ollantaytambo, the most
important archeological site in the
Sacred Valley. Transfer to the railway
station to go aboard our train to the
Sacred Citadel of Inca’s "Machu Picchu".
We shall visit the temple of the three
windows, the Sacred Place, the
Intihuatana "the Sun Stone Clock", the
real palace, the Sacred rock, the temple
of the Sun, the condor and any more
esoteric and mystic places. Overnight in
Machu Picchu Puebo Hotel. |
| DAY 10 Machu Picchu–Cusco |
| Free time in the morning, you can climb
to the Huayna Picchu Mountain behind
Machu Picchu. From the top of the
mountain you will have a spectacular
view of this magical site. In the
Afternoon, we shall take the train back
to Cusco. Arrival to Cusco and transfer
to the hotel. |
DAY 11 Cusco – Lima

| Visit the magical city of Cusco.
Discover the Cathedral. Then, visit the
archaeological sites that surround Cusco
such as the Saqsayhuaman Fortress, built
with stones of approximately 3 m of
height and Q’enqo, a place used for
worship and ceremonial centre as well as
the Tambomachay Ruin, and Inca’s Bath,
fountains of crystal clear water. Flight
back to Lima at afternoon. Tonight board
your flight back to USA. |
